Sophie has played violin for fifteen years, most of which were spent under the instructorship of Lucia Schipperus at the Langley Community Music School on the mainland. Many of these were also spent in the school’s string orchestra, fiddling groups and various smaller ensembles. She has also played in UVic’s full orchestra and enjoys freelance work as a group performer for community events. Her teaching experience started in 2002, with a private business called The Music Staff.
